A recent scan of the drawings on the wall above my desk revealed two distinct categories: illustrations of nature and illustrations of the city. My nature drawings were generally devoid of structures, depicting only wildlife and humans. It was all very…natural. By contrast, my city drawings were mainly buildings and streets, with a few trees thrown in here and there.
So this week I decided to begin to merge the two in an attempt to have the man-made and natural worlds merrily coexist, if only the page. (I don’t know how I feel about this color palette yet.)
